Weedkiller safety, Korean beauty, John Lewis profits plunge

Department store John Lewis has reported its profits have fallen to almost zero in the first 6 months of this year. Sir Charlie Mayfield, the Chief Executive, says discounting across all shops has affected John Lewis' margins. We analyse the figures with Catherine Shuttleworth from Savvy Marketing.

More building societies are offering students buy for uni mortgages - using their parents as guarantors. They allow students to borrow up to £300,000 on a 100% mortgage, with no deposit required.
